Frequently Asked Questions
General
Each Sunday and Monday session begins with a gentle grounding and meditative exercise, helping you slow down and arrive in the present moment. From there, we move into the creative process: intuitive painting, mixed media, or guided prompts. You will be supported and guided throughout the experience, while still having space to follow your own rhythm. The atmosphere is always safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental, allowing you to create in a way that feels natural and calming.
All materials are provided: canvases, paints, brushes, aprons, and mixed-media supplies. Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on. Although aprons are available, we work with acrylic paints, which are difficult to remove from textiles, so dressing appropriately will help you relax and enjoy the experience fully.
Our workshops use the creative process as a living metaphor for life.
As you paint intuitively, making choices, embracing surprises, allowing mistakes, letting go of control, you naturally reconnect with the inner wisdom that guides you in everyday life.
This approach helps you recognise that creativity is not only about art; it’s a way to understand yourself, navigate emotions, and reclaim the power to shape your own path. Every session becomes a creative journey and a gentle life lesson.
What also makes these workshops truly unique is the studio itself. The space is warm, calm, and intentionally designed with natural materials, plants, soft scents, and soothing light. We’ve put great care into creating an oasis that feels worlds away from the buzz of the city, a place where your nervous system can soften, your creativity can open, and you can feel held entirely.
These workshops are creative wellbeing sessions. They are not traditional art classes focused on technique, and they are not clinical therapy. Instead, they blend intuitive art-making, emotional expression, mindful presence, and gentle exploration. They can complement your personal growth or therapy, but do not replace professional mental health support.
Yes, many participants come during times of change, heaviness, or transformation. The creative process can be grounding and deeply supportive. However, if you are currently in crisis or in intensive therapy, it’s best to check with your therapist about whether a creative wellbeing workshop is appropriate. You are welcome to share any needs with me so the space can be held with care and sensitivity.
